About The Werner Family Band
"The Werner Family Band is one of the few bluegrass bands that I enjoy. They play well together and connect with the crowd. Great job guys!"
- Aaron Beery -
The Werner Family Band plays a mixture of traditional and gospel bluegrass music. Currently the group, from Mount Joy, Pa, consists of three brothers; Gideon (19) banjo and vocals, Stephen (18) fiddle and vocals, Silas (15) on mandolin. Joining them are friends Brett Beiler (20) guitar and vocals, Brandon Fox (19) upright bass, and Brenton Wenger (21) guitar and banjo.
The brothers first performed in 2014 when they were asked to play at the Remington Ryde Festival in Centre Hall, Pa as part of the Youth Showcase feature. In 2015 their dad joined them as they performed at various bluegrass events, festivals and church programs. In 2017 Brett joined the band and in 2020 Brandon and Brenton were added. In addition to playing together as a group, the boys enjoy entering individual instrument contests and have won awards for their playing.
The Werner Family Band performs bluegrass concerts and church programs as well as playing at festivals and for retirement communities, senior groups, fundraisers and private events.
