About The Werner Family Band

"The Werner Family Band is one of the few bluegrass bands that I enjoy. They play well together and connect with the crowd. Great job guys!"
- Aaron Beery -
The Werner Family Band plays a mixture of traditional and gospel bluegrass music. The original band consisted of brothers, Mark (lead vocals and guitar), Gideon (vocals and banjo), Stephen (vocals and fiddle), Silas (mandolin), along with their father Henry (upright bass)
The brothers first performed in 2014 when they were asked to play at the Remington Ryde Festival in Centre Hall, Pa as part of the Youth Showcase feature. In 2015 their dad joined them as they performed at various bluegrass events, festivals and church programs. In addition to playing together as a group, the boys enjoy entering individual instrument contests and have won awards for their playing.
Over the years, the band has gone through some changes with several friends joining them at times. Brett (vocals and guitar), Brenton (guitar), Brandon (upright bass) and Jordan (mandolin).
In 2022 The Werner Family Band changed their name and began performing as Ironwood Drive. And while the name has changed, the music has not.
Ironwood Drive continues to play bluegrass concerts and church programs as well as playing at festivals and for retirement communities, senior groups, fundraisers and private events.
